A Silentio in Thessaloniki!

Exhibition of some pictures of the book in the projects’s space PHĒNO from 11.03.2022 to 03.04.2022.

I had the opportunity to teach a workshop „DECONSTRUCTION“ with wonderful students during two days on 12 & 13 March 2022.

This workshop was addressed the way we perceive the urban landscape in the neighborhood. Traces of a history that was previously invisible or unknown, personal interpretation or collective memory, can become sources of interpretation and construction of another narrative. During the first day, simple exercises based on observation, sketching, photography, and the collection of materials will help develop a method of research and analysis of the existing building and environment. The idea is to find a place, a situation in the neighborhood where traces of a history are still visible. At the end of the day, these results will be analyzed in groups.During the second day, each participant will have the possibility, to interpret his or her observations in a plastic way, by means of an installation from found materials, collages or other. A presentation of the results will take place at the end of the day.
